The Client: Pelago Travel was founded by Rachel and Stuart Gillis in order to share their passion for the natural beauty and heritage of Great Britain with others. They now specialise in guided tours that bring alive the landscapes and history of Great Britain and create opportunity for cross cultural experiential learning.
The Challenge:
Pelago Travel were looking to tailor their services to the growing Chinese student market. They were looking for a digital agency who could help them to develop an effective digital communications strategy, to better understand the Chinese student market and to make the most of Chinese digital platforms.
The Solution:
Appt sat down with the Pelago Travel team and helped them think through their brand and digital communications strategy, ensuring that both were suited and tailored to the Chinese student market. This consultation took place in Sheffield and Appt’s China office joined via video call. After this, Appt provided Pelago Travel with written digital communications guidelines which Pelago could take and implement. Appt also provided a practical WeChat tutorial to the whole Pelago Travel team, this was led by Appt’s Chinese social media specialist.
